Personal Interests: Birding (which really means unskillfully and unknowingly wandering around outside), spending time with my family, hiking, backpacking, and training our Karelian Bear Dog (at least trying to train her!)

What is the best thing about teaching at AKFMR?

The AKFMR is a mission-driven program with energetic, thoughtful, and passionate faculty and residents. I am grateful to be surrounded by such amazing people. No better place to grow professionally and personally!

How did you end up in Alaska?

I lived here for a year during medical school and new I would come back. And now that I’m back, I’ll never leave – there’s no other place like it!
