Nathan Marchant, MD
I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have an identical twin brother and an older sister. My brother and I grew up doing everything together and spent a lot of time playing sports and doing things outside.
I received my undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in physiology and developmental biology with a minor in gerontology. I quickly figured out that I wanted to apply to medical school and, after graduation, landed at Baylor College of Medicine. Within medicine I’m interested in wilderness medicine, sports medicine, and addiction medicine.
After spending 4 years in Houston I was determined to go somewhere with mountains for residency. Alaska attracted me with the amazing access to outdoor activities and the beautiful surroundings. I love running, hiking, camping, and most anything else in the outdoors, and I’m excited to hit the trails of Alaska!
