Brian Renner, MD

Brian was born in Southern California and from an early age, the love of sports, outdoor activities, and the beauty of nature instilled in him. He spent his formative years in athletics playing baseball, basketball, and cycling, while also hiking, fishing, and camping well into adulthood. He has lived across the Lower 48 states, from corner to corner, starting with undergrad in Atlanta at Georgia Tech to study biomedical engineering. He has also spent time at both UCLA and Cedars Sinai in graduate research in neuroscience, neuroimaging, and clinical neurology. Ultimately, he felt his true calling in medicine and studied Ross University school of medicine before finding his way to Alaska.

He is an avid Angels and Lakers fan, loves kayaking, swimming, fishing, skiing, and will hike whenever a trail is open. He looks forward to enjoying the natural splendor of the Alaskan frontiers and catching a few fish along the way. His aim is to imbue himself with the Alaskan way of life and to practice medicine for the communities living across the state.
