Medical Interests: Bedside ultrasound, walk-in medicine, inpatient medicine

Personal Interests: Bike commuting and mountain biking, cross country skiing, canoeing, hanging out with my kids and stereoscopic photography.

What is the best thing about teaching at the residency?  I love the science of medicine, and being able work with other intelligent minds towards solving the issues that our patients face. 

How did you end up in Alaska?  Shortly after residency my wife and I worked with the Norton Sound Health Corporation in Nome for a few months. Our careers subsequently led us to the Indian Health Service in New Mexico, but 7 years and two children later we started to search for our next home and Alaska was clearly the best option for us.
