Alex Polston comes from a small town called Banks, Oregon – the home of large trees and grass seed. Raised in a rural area he became a doctor to help those living in America’s frontier who need care most. He earned his medical degree at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon and was drawn to comprehensive training so that he could provide simultaneous pediatric and obstetrical medicine – as well as care for elders. Like so many others he fell in love with the endless beauty of Alaska, which brought him ultimately to the Alaska Family Medicine Residency. In his spare time he enjoys exploring the endless wonders of what the state has to offer with his wife Alicia. He is also learning how to be a better fisherman.
