Lucinda MacNeal

LucindaUniversity of Washington School of Medicine

Lucinda was born in Anchorage, but left the great state of Alaska to explore several of the lower 48 states (in truth, her parents would get bored and so the family would move – 19 times before the age of 16!). She met her husband when they were both working at Home Depot. By chance, her husband was given an opportunity in Alaska that they couldn’t refuse and she has been back ever since. She graduated from UAA and then went on to the University of Washington School of Medicine WWAMI program, which allowed her to complete most of her medical training in Alaska. She has a strong desire to stay in Alaska and knew that the best place to prepare for a career in Alaska (or any rural area) would be in Alaska.  During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, exploring all the unique and beautiful places (from marshes to mountains) that Alaska has to offer. Time flies when you are having fun: despite the fact that this is the 11th year her family has been in Alaska, they have only managed to scratch the surface of places to explore! Lucinda loves baking, 4-wheeling, and bargain hunting in her spare time!
