Originally an east coast kid from Pennsylvania, David moved west immediately following high school in search of adventure and has never looked back. There was always a desire for bigger spaces and more freedom. Following some time skiing in Idaho he joined the Air Force and found himself stationed in Alaska. He immediately fell in love with the wildness and endless adventure of the state. After having their first child, David and his wife left the Air Force and began pursuing a degree. It was during this time that David rediscovered his interest in medicine and was encouraged by a local physician to pursue medical school. Since then David and his wife Courtney have added three more children for a total of four boys, moved out of Alaska to attend Pacific Northwest University in Washington and come back to Alaska for clerkships. Since beginning medical school David has felt called to full spectrum family medicine with a desire to serve those in need in Alaska and overseas. He and his family were very excited to be able to continue the medical education process here in Anchorage where they enjoy many outdoor activities, food and friends.
