Nathan Lee

Nathan Lee, DO

Hey! I’m Nathan Lee and I’m thrilled to be at AKFMR. I grew up in Bedford, Indiana (the limestone capitol of the world), went to undergrad at Indiana State University (you might know us from Larry Bird) and went to Marian University COM for medical school (best cycling program in the country!).

Rural/low resource medicine and global medicine were what drew me to this profession in the first place, so AKFMR was an obvious choice for me. Curriculum aside, the constant view of mountains, incredibly welcoming people, and the overwhelming amount of fun outdoor activities are making this state feel like a new home to my wife and me. My dog also loves the multiple pet friendly parks in town too!

I often look up reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and find a way to justify my feelings about a movie depending on whether the critics or the audience tend to agree with me. When football season comes around, I’ll be waking up early to watch the Colts, and stay up late to cast fireball in a Dungeons and Dragons sesh. I love hiking, biking, camping, and community team sports. Catch me not catching fish but loving every moment of wading in the middle of a creek.
