Dr. Pasternack joined the Denali Ob-Gyn family in October 2014, bringing enthusiasm and up to date clinical knowledge. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She is trained in all aspects of women’s care with a special interest in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery to treat many common gynecologic conditions. She performs in-office procedures, including Essure, a permanent birth control method. One of the favorite aspects of her practice is supporting women through all stages of their reproductive lives and she particularly enjoys working with adolescents.
Dr. Pasternack’s path has been one of international adventure, serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras as well as pursuing medical studies with a focus on international health at Ben Gurion University’s collaborative program with Columbia University. She now cherishes the chance to experience the adventurous beauty of living in Alaska and feels privileged to serve the health needs of women in her adopted home state.
When she is not being a doctor, she enjoys practicing yoga, back country skiing and spying local wildlife.
