Dr. Adams was born and raised right here in Anchorage. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Alaska in 1985. After a brief professional basketball career in Europe, he returned to the United States and graduated from the University of Washington in 1990. After attending the graduate program in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mayo clinic from 1990 to 1994, he returned to Anchorage and started his medical practice career. Dr. Adams is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and specializes in high-risk obstetrics, fertility and minimally invasive surgery. His hobbies include flying, working on his cabin, coaching basketball, hunting and fishing.
He joined the Alaska Family Medicine Residency as part time faculty in 2010. He staffs a twice weekly OB/GYN consult clinic in the residency clinic for the high risk OB patients and complicated GYN patients lacking healthcare access. He and Dr. Lindemann have been instrumental in generating enthusiasm amongst the community OB/GYN’s in embracing the education of family medicine residents. As a result, the AFMR residents and family medicine faculty enjoy great working relationships within the Obstetrics department.
