Elke Neuenschwander, MD

Dr. Neuenschwander grew up in Boring, Oregon spending most of her childhood outside crawdad fishing and playing sports. Through multiple knee surgeries, she was introduced to medicine as a career that allows for the formation of personal relationships.

Throughout college she spent time volunteering at a local free clinic, learning more about economic and patient focused care in between track practice and orchestra rehearsals. After graduating from Whitworth university in Spokane Washington, she returned home to Oregon for medical school at OHSU.

She was drawn to family medicine for its focus on community health, wide range of patients and the ability to form long term relationships with these patients.  In her free time, Elke enjoys cooking and baking, hiking, fishing, and anything else that allows her spend time outdoors with friends and family.
