Carly Craig

Carly grew up exploring the waterways of Southeast Alaska. Originally from Juneau, she went to college in Anchorage and later made her way to the Louisiana bayou where she attended medical school at Tulane. Involvement with trauma training and outreach in New Orleans affirmed her desire to serve as an advocate for her community, and is one of the many reasons she was drawn to primary care.

Prior to medical school, she taught university biology laboratory courses and continues to enjoy teaching through patient and community education. She spends her free time woodworking, fishing, and learning as much as possible about wilderness/austere medicine. She is absolutely thrilled to return to Alaska and join the team at AKFMR!
